Sweaters Can Say 1,000 Words

Clothes can say a lot about a person. It can tell a person's beliefs, their favorite music, or maybe their favorite sports team.

When it came to sophomore Lauren McMillin, her navy blue ESPN crew neck sweater spoke volumes of her. McMillin has been athletically involved since the age of three, a normal age to start athletics in her family.

"I've always grown up around sports. My dad played football here at Ole Miss and my mom was rebelette."

David McMillin, Tight End for the Rebels from 1980 to 1983 has kept his children in the spirit of Ole Miss since they can remember. McMillin recalls her first grove trip as a child.

"Growing up in that environment ( the grove) was pretty much in my blood."

McMillin recalls having the same season tickets since she was young.

"We've had the same season tickets for as long as I can remember."
When it came down to sports, the print journalist decided to be like her mom and started dancing. Although she did not make the rebelette's dance troupe, she puts her skills as public relations agent in the athletics department her at Ole Miss. She also works the basketball games during the season.

McMillin is following in her older brother's footsteps as he is currently on the way to becoming an employee of the MLB front office. When asked what she wants to do with her major, McMillin says she has big plans.

"Hopefully I can be able to do something as far as P.R. for a sports team or a sports network.Something along the lines of that.I will probably take the journalism and P.R. and apply to the front office."

Although the sweater didn't tell of her favorite teams, McMillin still has a few favorites.

"As far as college goes, of course I'm a Ole Miss fan, but I'm also a Oregon and Vandy fan but only because my brother went there. As far as the pros, I love the Giants and the Colts and I love the St. Louis Cardinals."

When asked for a last word, McMillin simply said Hotty Toddy.
