I have been following this years Ole Miss baseball team as they enter the season ranked #22 nationally. They should be a fun team to watch with an interesting makeup to their team. They have six starters returning and just welcomed a top 5 recruting class to campus. They should be a dangerous team and look to get back to Omaha for the first time in quite some time. As spring practice is underway, here are 5 questions i would have asked coach Bianco:
1. This is 9th time the rebs have been ranked in the top 25 during your tenure, yet you have never made it to the college world series. Do you feel the pressure to get this University to Omaha for the first time since 1972?
2. How excited are you about the return of six starters? What kind of asset is that to a team to have so much experience coming back?
3. You were able to bring in a top 5 recruiting class this fall, how bright is the future for this already solid program?
4. With practice underway, and three weekend scrimmages following, what are you looking for out of your team as those games are being played out?
5. You go on the road for a three game set vs. #10 ranked TCU to open the season. What are the benefits of being tested right out of the gate like that? What do you expect from your team that weekend?
